Dear Mark,

 

I write urging you to reject the application for a broiler farm at Cooroy when it is tabled at your next meeting on December 12th. 

 

 

My family and I have just moved to Cooroy from NSW. We moved here to enjoy the beautiful Hinterland and its safe, tranquil, semi-rural lifestyle. We have brought money and skills that will benefit this area. The broiler farm will negatively impact on our quality of life and our right to  unfettered amenity. Had we been aware that a broiler farm was in the area there is absolutely no way we would have purchased here.

 

Our specific concerns are:

 

·         We have a daughter with significant health issues that will be adversely affected by the airborne moulds and pathogens that will carry from the site. 

 

·         We are also concerned about the threat to our safety by large trucks travelling along unsuitable roads.
