Submission - Colin and Linsey Ward MCU200119
TO The assessment Manager, Noosa Council. I refer to the attatched Notice of Submission Re Material Change of use for 1/20 Nannygai Street Noosaville. We wish to OPPOSE the material change of use of our close neighbouring property at 1/20 Nannygai Street. We live in the adjoining property of 2/20 Nannygai Street and are an elderly couple one of whom suffers serious illness. We purchased our home quite recently at the same time as our neighbours whom we were advised were a family who were going to live there. We also researched the street and found it to be a quiet residential street with many retirees. It was a horrid shock to find out that our next door very close neighbour had applied for short term accommodation! The property in question has ALREADY been listed with a local agent who is advertising it as suitable for large families or four couples. So 8 people!!! We know how noisy that will be with our outdoor area and pool backing onto each other. Due to the very close proximity of the adjoining properties it will no doubt have a large impact on both our privacy and peace and quiet which will be unbearable for our both our health and well being and would make it impossible for us to remain in our home. This in itself will be massively stressful, a condition our Doctors wish us to avoid. We understand that if this proceeds, the value of our home will be impacted substantially and may make it impossible to sell...not a good situation for an elderly couple who thought that sort of stress was over. The property in question is listed with Noosa Luxury Holidays. We attach the views of a well known local agent regarding the drop in value. Signed Mr Colin Ward and Mrs Linsey Ward
