Cost Recovery
The process by which event organisers contribute towards costs associated with the use of Council-controlled
land, infrastructure, facilities and services.
Private Ceremony or Booking
A low-impact private use of public space, including weddings, elopements, memorials and other approved private
gatherings.
Destination Management Plan (DMP)
Noosa's strategic framework for managing visitation and shared experiences in a way that aligns with community
expectations, protects environmental values and supports the long-term sustainability of place.
Events Strategic Framework
The overarching strategic document (this document) that establishes the vision, values, guiding principles,
priorities and action plan for events in Noosa.
Event Management Policy
The policy framework that supports implementation of the Strategic Framework and guides the assessment,
management and oversight of events conducted on Council-controlled land
