Application details File No. MCU17/0572 Postal address of Land (as advertised) 175 Eumundi Noosa Road, Noosaville Nature of Proposed Development Petrol/service station and cafe 2. Submitter details Full name of Submitter Mary Hayden Postal address PO Box 265 Suburb Noosaville State Queensland Postcode 4566 Signature(s) N.BThis form has been designed for the convenience of the public, and any persons wishing to lodge a submission are not obliged to use this form. 3. Details of Submission I (We), make the following submission: I am strongly opposed to Council accepting this development application for several reasons: 1. There are 2 new service stations within meters of the proposed new site and I have yet to see cars queued up for petrol at any time of the day. 2. 24 hour service stations are prone to garish and harsh lighting and signage - contradicts the image we work so hard to achieve for Noosa with our signage height/type restrictions and low density town planning. 2 in this area is enough. 3. Another station will provide absolutely no advantage to residents and construction design may well result in providing another wall for unsightly graffiti artists to attack with seemingly so response by Council and no requirement that the business owner clean up the graffiti. 4. If anyone is stupid enough to think another station will add a bit of competition to the petrol prices charged in this town (which are all exactly the same for all 6-7 existing stations), then we need to think again. Approval by Council will simply condone another player in the petrol price cartel.
