4.         SELF STORAGE UNITS
The proposed Myall Street mixed use development incorporates a 52 unit self storage
facility and will occupy a 5,608m² parcel in the rear part of the site next to the car wash.


4.1        Current Supply
There are two storage facilities currently operating in Cooroy. Combined Coastal
Removals and Mini Storage has 36 units within a secured area and the adjoining Cooroy
Handy Sheds has 34 unsecured units. Both are located on Jarrah Street in the Cooroy
Industrial Estate.
The next nearest facility is located six kilometres south of the Myall Street site, in Mt
Eerwah. Table 4.1 and Figure 4.1 show details of the locations of other storage facilities in
the Cooroy and Noosa areas, extending south to Nambour.
