Risks & Opportunities
The establishment of the Teewah and Cooloola Working Group provides an opportunity to bring
all relevant stakeholders together to talk about the future of that locality which spans two local
government areas. The expected outcome of those discussions is to provide feedback to QPWS
regarding the Great Sandy Management Plan and how a repeat of the 2018 Easter period
environmental damage can be averted. Of course, with so many stakeholders, there is a risk that
consensus will not be achieved.
Consultation
External Consultation - Community & Stakeholder
The Mayor and CEO have discussed the formation of the proposed Working Group with the
Mayor and CEO of Gympie Regional Council.
Internal Consultation
