For the operational phase of the project, Table 5.2 shows the future expected level of direct
employment, which has been estimated by using the most recent ABS Tourist Accommodation
Survey tracking employment at hotels and resorts in Queensland.

5.3 Economic Impact
The results of the economic impact assessment are highlighted in the following tables (Table 5.3 and
Table 5.4). During construction, the project will increase the Noosa economy by $25.7 million (in
Gross Regional Product terms) both directly and indirectly. At the same time, the construction phase
will generate 202 jobs (both directly and indirectly).
Once the hotel is operational, it will provide $14.3 million (in Gross Regional Product terms) both
directly and indirectly. At the same time, the operational phase will provide 158 jobs (both directly
and indirectly). It should be noted that these operational impacts would be recurring and would be
supported on an annual basis moving forward.
