Dear Sir/Madam
Re: Application No. 132006.823.09, 132006.823
SP190823 Viridian Noosa, 5 Morwong Dr, Noosa Heads
We have reviewed Noosa Council’s request for information dated 19 April 2022 and provide our response to the
Engineering related items.
Issue – Area 1
Insufficient details are provided with regards to how the proposed carpark reconfiguration will impact the road
formation and landscaping verge. Council have concerns regarding a potential tripping hazard in the
landscaping areas and how the kerb and channel will be reinstated with the additional ‘new carpark’.
Response:
a) The proposed changes to existing surface levels in landscaping areas for the proposed additional carpark
is less than 50mm. We are of the opinion a trip hazard into a landscaping area isn’t an issue as this will
not be a dedicated walkway.
b) Please refer revised the carpark and line marking plan SCG Drawing number: 31303-OW1.1.RevA, which
includes a pavement connection detail.
c) There is no proposed kerb to area (No.) 1, the existing kerb is to be cut back for the proposed carpark.
Issue – Area 2
Insufficient details are provided regarding the proposed relocated bin pad and the proposed ‘new carparks’.
Council are unable to assess how the two new additional carparks will be created once the existing bin pad is
demolished and relocated.
Response:
a) Please refer revised the carpark and line marking plan SCG Drawing number: 31303-OW1.1.RevA, which
includes a pavement connection detail.
b) We have revised the carparking and line marking plan SCG Drawing number: 31303-OW1.1.RevA to
include a level to the proposed bin store.
c) We have revised the carparking and line marking plan SCG Drawing number: 31303-OW1.1.RevA with
reduced carparking widths to allow for a 1m clear access path for waste collection.
