2.   APPLICATION BACKGROUND
•    An application to extend the Royal Mail was lodged with Council on 11 July 2023. The
     proposal includes applications for: Material Change of Use – Hotel extension and shop, and
     Building Work in a Local Heritage Overlay and a Reconfiguration of Lot (boundary
     Realignment).
•    An Information Request was issued to the applicant on 16 October 2023 concerning:
     o     The scale of the development and car parking.
     o     The proposed presentation of the extensions and compliance with Tewantin Local Area
           Plan requirements.
     o     Existing façade of the pokies area to Poinciana Avenue.
     o     The heritage values of the building and extent of demolition proposed.
