DearMr~1 Brd\
Development application MCU14/0056 at 125 Myall St, Cooroy

Thank you again for our meeting on 9 July 2015. Further to our discussions, I have followed up
on the matter of development application MCU14/0056 at 125 Myall St, Cooroy.

I wish to confirm that, at the request of Council, Seqwater provided advice on this development
application for a material change of use for a mixed use development (service station, fast food
restaurant, car wash, self-storage facility and tourist park).

Seqwater is satisfied that the proposed development is sited appropriately and contains adequate
management measures to minimise the risks to water quality of Lake Macdonald. The
development is located a significant distance from Lake Macdonald and its direct tributaries.

Following our discussions, I can advise that an internal review was undertaken and confirmed our
initial assessment that the measures proposed in the application stand to minimise the risk to
water quality in Lake Macdonald to an acceptable level.

However, it should be noted that our advice on this matter in no way indicates general support for
such developments in a drinking water catchment, rather an approach to review applications on
their merit.

Seqwater would be a keen participant in any future review of local planning and development
requirements.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely

Pet Dennis
Chief Executive Officer
