Details of Submission I Ian Lewis make the following submission: I oppose development MCU22/0039 for the following reasons. The development is not supported by the planning scheme. Carpenters Rd and the intersection with Mary River Rd would require a significant upgrade to cater for the additional 100 plus car movements. Probably 10 time the current traffic volumes. A suitable all weather footpath/cycle way with creek crossing would be truly affordable housing. The development is not within easy walking distance to public transport. High density housing with a single access road is poor planning from a natural disaster perspective. Creating an isolated low cost accommodation ghetto with all the associated social problems is not good planning. Changes to dual occupancy provisions in the planning scheme could elevated the housing affordability problems and at the same time create a more integrated society. I request Noosa Council and or the developer demonstrate how these issues can addressed.
