We would like to make a submission regarding the proposed NBN tower, details above.

Our family has spent time on our friends’ property at 226 Tablelands Rd Cooran. They share a boundary with 244 Tablelands Rd, so the tower proposal poses a specific and worrying negative visual impact on their property.

If this proposal was to go ahead, the structure would tower over their back yard. It is currently a partly cleared, grassy space, with an orchard and vegetable garden. The enjoyment of their property would be seriously affected by an ugly, menacing monopole, unable to be masked or hidden in any way, It would tower many metres above their tree line at the boundary.

We’d like Noosa Council to consider the brutal visual impact that the tower would present to our friends and other residents around the site. When considering the proposal, please consider how distressing it would be to have a 35m tower located over your back fence, an unexpected and unwanted eyesore in a area that has been, to date, sensitively managed to maintain the low impact amenity of their location.
