For the treatment of the Effluent we recommend; Advanced Secondary WasteWater Treatment System (AWTS) (NOTE: The system chosen must satisfy both the Queensland Plumbing and Wastewater Code and AS1547-2000 On-Site Domestic Waste Water Code and be approved for use by the Local Shire/Council governing the allotment.) The system should be fitted with a pump of adequate capacity to pump up to the nominated Effluent Disposal Area. A pump well and pump should be provided at the disposal area to receive the effluent from the system and equally dose the area. Current domestic rated AWTS systems are rated to treat upwards of 9800 Lt/week. A number of systems may be required to treat the expected effluent volumes produced. For the disposal of the treated effluent within the Land Application Area we recommend; A Pressuriged Surface Reticuéated Jrrigation Systom (NOTE: Where Surface irrigation is used in conjunction with an Aerobic Sand Filtration System the treated effluent shall be disinfected with chlorine prior to dosing of the Land Application Area.) We have considered both current and forecasted hydraulic loadings for the system. The size of the Land Application Area for 25 persons is calculated as follows; AUSTRALIAN SOIL INVESTIGATIONS ASI Ref: 150105(A)
