The above attendance figures are inclusive of university attendance and all events and bookings
at The J. The trend of strong growth up until the COVID-affected 2019/20 is clear.

The total value of tickets sold in 2019/20 was significantly down on the past three years, again as
a result of COVID-19 disruptions.
3. STAFFING
The J’s small team does a great job of running the centre in a highly efficient manner, particularly
when compared to other similar venues with larger teams. Pre-COVID, workload pressures
remained high for key staff and this issue will be further reviewed and addressed in the next
business plan.
