   Work Health and Safety Act 2011;
   Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011.
   Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003; and
   Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Regulation 2014.

Additionally, this year, the Governance Team revised how the delegations are presented for
clarity and separated or amended the following Delegations of Authority:
   Local Government Act – now:
     o     Local Government – Finance and Procurement
     o     Local Government – Governance
     o     Local Government – Legal, Responsibilities and Other
   Local Government - Payroll now:
     o     Local Government People and Payroll
   Workers Compensation, now:
     o     Work Health and Safety
     o     Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation
The updated Delegations of Authority relating to the above are provided at Attachment 2. The
changes to the delegations are identified in tracked changes.
Summary of current delegations not requiring changes
To avoid any doubt, the current Council Delegations of Authority listed below require no changes
to the previous year.
    Animal Management Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008;
    Asbestos Complaints (Public Health Act 2005);
    Body Corporate & Community Management (Body Corporate and Community Management
      (Specified Two-lot Schemes Module) Regulation 2011;
    Disaster Management (Disaster Management Act 2003);
    Environmental Offset (Environmental Offsets Act 2014);
    Food Premises (Food Act 2006 and Food Production Safety Act 2000);
    Industrial Relations (Industrial Relation Act 2016 and Industrial Relations Regulation 2018)
    Information Privacy (Information Privacy Act 2009);
    Land Valuations (Land Valuations Act 2010);
    Local Government – Authority to Sign (Local Government Act 2009);
    Local Laws (Local Government Act 2009 & Council Local Laws);
    Peaceful Assembly (Peaceful Assembly Act 1992)
    Public Health Infection Control (Public Health Infection Control for Personal Appearance
      Services) Act 2003);
    Statutory Bodies Financial Arrangement (Statutory Bodies Financial Arrangements) Act
      1982);
    Survey Mapping & Infrastructure (Survey Mapping & Infrastructure Act 2003);and
    TORUM Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995).

Council’s delegation of these powers remain unchanged from the previous year.

The majority of Council’s current delegations were adopted by Council at the Ordinary Meeting
held on the 21 February 2019 as outlined below.
