Attention: ASSESSMENT MANAGER

Dear Sir/Madam

I wish to submit my full support for the Proposed Car Wash in Cooroy.

I have spent 22 years regenerating degraded land and poisoned waterways in the Cooroy Area.

The proposal ticks all the boxes for environmental and water management.
Many residents wash their cars and other such assets at home. Currently this water runs off into storm water and in rural areas into creeks, gullies and the water table. The damage to the waterways that this activity on mass does to our area is beyond measure. Many people, if they had easy access to a car wash would do this activity there and therefore minimise this damage to the environment.

Having many people with water tanks in our area, the Cooroy Car Wash will also provide a valuable service and employment to locals who currently have to travel to Noosa to do this. We also have to travel to Noosa for a pet wash. This area now has the population to support such a well placed business.

This type of amenity is long overdue and the space (between 2 service stations and opposite a train and bus route is ideal. The space would not be ideal for shops. People who are going to the servos, can easily use the car wash. It really is very sensible planning.

Myself, my family and friends are in full support of this business and essential amenity for Cooroy.
Sincerely
Penelope Taylor
