                         Flood Risk management plan




Introduction
As aligned to the Noosa Shire Council (NSC) Disaster management values, this document has
been compiled to address and manage flood risk at 35 Rules Rd Pomona, Vipassana Centre
Queensland (VCQ) in order to mitigate and prevent;
     ●   loss of human life
     ●   illness or injury to people
     ●   property loss or damage
     ●   damage to the environment resulting from a disaster.

The VCQ flood management plan has been developed in accordance with and in reference
to the;
   ● Disaster management plan - Pomona
   ● Noosa Shire Flood Management Plan
   ● Noosa Shire Council flood mapping overlays
In reference to flood risk management, VCQ proactively adopts the Noosa Shire Council
priorities of;

     ● effective and coordinated planning
     ● preparedness
     ● response and recovery.
