PM Submission - Ken & Desley Nixon - MCU21/0054
Subject: application MCU21/0054 From: Desley Nixon Date: 2021-05-21T00:09:52+00:00 To: Mailbox Council Mail External sender. Do not open links or attachments if the email is unexpected or unusual or impersonates staff. We write in relation to Short Term Accomodation approval being sought for the residence at 30 Kingfisher Drive Peregian Beach. We object to approval being granted on the basis that this precinct has long been predominantly one of private long term residences, and the proposed material change of use would not at all be in keeping with the ambience of this location. In addition, traffic flow and density, and on street parking congestion have in recent times reached unpleasant saturation levels, as our village has more and more become a ‘go to’ destination. Approval of this application will exacerbate these issues, especially as the residence in question is situated on a busy, and dangerous intersection. There has been an ‘explosion’ of foot traffic along Kingfisher Drive and the corner with Pelican Street can be hazardous even in quiet times. We hope these issues will be taken in to consideration in Council’s deliberations Yours sincerely Ken & Desley Nixon [40 Kingfisher Drive]
