FIGURE 3.2 illustrates the network of service stations relevant to the subject site. Most notably, the nearest Highway oriented ‘service centres’ are the Puma at
Kybong which is almost 30km driving distance north of the subject site; and the BP at Forest Glen to the south which is more than 30km driving distance from the
subject site. This spatial representation highlights a stretch of some 60km along the Bruce Highway whereby motorists would not have convenient access to a
service station on either the northbound or southbound routes. Whilst facilities at Yandina and Kulangoor appear proximate to the Highway, each are located
along the ‘Old Bruce Highway’ route and require considerable rerouting for access to and from the M1.
