2.3       Vegetation
A site inspection was undertaken to identify the vegetation within the site and within a 100m buffer
area to the site. The inspection identified the following vegetation hazard classes (as per Leonard
et al., (2014)):
      •    Vegetation Hazard Class 8 – Acacia communities;
      •    Vegetation Hazard Class 12 – Mixture of rural classes – mainly grassland;
      •    Vegetation Hazard Class 16 – Mixture of urban classes; and
      •    Vegetation Hazard Class 17 – Rainforest.
The distribution of the vegetation hazard classes is presented in Figure 1 with descriptions provided
in the following sections.
