Accessibility, Infrastructure & Servicing
The Noosaville Locality provides for much of Noosa’s commercial, retail, administrative, industrial and
social needs, as well as being one of the major focus areas for visitor accommodation and services.

Including amendments to 3 July 2017
                                                                                                              The Noosa Plan
Residents of the locality generally enjoy high levels of convenience and accessibility to urban services.
Facilities of Noosa-wide significance include the proposed Shire Business Centre, Noosa Hospital,
community facilities at Wallace Park Estate and Noosa’s primary industrial estate.

Accessibility to recreational opportunities provides residents and visitors with valued lifestyle
opportunities, including recreation areas off Shorehaven Drive and Seacove Court, Noosaville; scouting
facilities at Gympie Terrace and Gibson Road, Noosaville; the Australian Rules field at Weyba Road,
Noosaville; and camping and caravanning facilities at Munna Point which provide strategically positioned,
low cost accommodation for visitors.

The watercourses of the locality strongly influence the location of road systems, with entrance points
from Tewantin and Noosa Heads being constrained to a few key points. Eenie Creek Road and eventually
Walter Hay Drive will create scenic southern entrances to Noosa through bushland settings. Noosa
Parade and Weyba Road, connecting the locality with Noosa Heads are flanked by vegetation and offer
glimpses to the watercourses.

Communities
Noosaville is one of the principal visitor destinations in Noosa. The Noosa River, its foreshore parkland
and the many fine restaurants close by are the key attractions, so visitor accommodation is generally
focused in the part of Noosaville that is north of Gibson Road.

There is relatively little topographical relief within Noosaville however variety in the built form is
emphasised through the historical development of the locality and the many architectural styles it
exhibits.

Noosaville’s urban residential areas, provide fully serviced, generally low density, urban housing in quiet
neighbourhood settings. The character of these neighbourhoods varies due to factors such as lot sizes,
the established character and age of the development and proximity to open space, watercourses and
business development. Noosa Waters and parts of Munna Point provide residential properties with
watercourse frontage.

Substantial areas have been set aside for attached accommodation in the Noosaville Locality. These
areas generally have ready access to business facilities and the Noosa River. Most also have access to
public transport services. Whilst some areas predominantly service visitors, there is generally a strong
mix of visitors and permanent residents within the attached housing neighbourhoods.
