Submission Noosa Council MCU 210154
Attached to the e-mail PM Submission - Robert Green & VIctoria Zinga - MCU21/0154.
To whom it may concern In regard to Ref: Development Application MCU 21/0154 82 Patterson Dr Tinbeerwah, Qld”, our concerns against this development are as follows; We live very near the development of the proposed home based meat processing plant which I believe has been built prior to approval. This current commercial development is within a residential zone surrounded by established housing and properties and can only set a precedent for future commercial development within this residential area. This type of processing plant is more suited to an industrial area, for example, Noosaville. It is ludicrous to think that a meat processing plant would be even considered for approval in this residential area, given the clear guidelines advocated in The Noosa Shire Council Design Principals; in particular its Sensitive Growth and Development Guidelines. The impact of more traffic, the potential odour emanating from the plant, the disposal of offal and bio waste etc., must produce an on going influence on the quality of life for its residents who chose to live in a quite residential area. Also, while the effect on property values is important, the impact such an operation would have on the environment and native animal and bird habitats is very concerning. I bring to your attention that the development is within Lake MacDonald Catchment as designated in the Biodiversity, Waterways & Wetlands Map code: OM BWWi(ii)4. Also the development is within all three Biodiversity Categories 1 Protected Areas. 2 Ecological Linkage. 3 Connecting Habitat Area. Ref: NNP SFM Map4 (Biodiversity). Kind regards Robert Green & Victoria Zinga 19 Wallaby Lane Tinbeerwah 4563
