scenario assessed. The traffic scenario in the TTM report with a 0% grade applied to the Holts Road approach
does fail with a DOS greater than 80% and LOS F, however this scenario has several conservative inputs.
Scenario 5 is at the other end of the spectrum with alternative values for all inputs in Table 1. This Scenario
operates extremely well with significant spare capacity.

Based on the available information, both scenarios are considered to be unlikely. There is a higher likelihood
that the operational characteristics of the Myall Street/Holts Road intersection will be within the range of
Scenarios 1-4. For these scenarios, this intersection operates suitably within acceptable operational
characteristics (DOS below 80% and LOS E or better in urban areas).

6. Conclusion

TTM have undertaken further assessment of the Myall Street/Holts Road intersection to inform Council and
DTMR of the anticipated operation of this intersection in 2029. This assessment identified several likely traffic
and driver behaviour scenarios based on the data provided by DTMR and TTM’s experience where alternative
inputs are reasonable. Under all alternative scenarios, this intersection operates within acceptable
performance characteristics.

Based on this assessment, it is TTM’s opinion that this intersection is likely to perform suitably in its designed
form with the proposed development and no mitigation measures are warranted.
