RE:     6 Taylor Court, Cooroy – Proposed Service Station and Fast Food Premises

          Further Analysis of the Myall Street/Holts Road Intersection

1. Introduction

TTM have been engaged by Hass Holdings to respond traffic items in an Information Request from Noosa Shire
Council (dated 22 July 2016, reference: MCU16/0066) regarding a proposed service station and fast food
premises. Item 15 of this Information Request relates to Sidra modelling which TTM undertook as part of a
traffic impact assessment submitted as part of the development application. TTM’s reference for this traffic
report is 16BRT0201 and it is dated 7 July 2016.

It is understood that Noosa Shire Council have requested third party advice from the Department of Transport
and Main Roads regarding the operation of the Myall Street/Holts Road intersection. This analysis is provided
to further inform Council and DTMR of the anticipated future operation of the Myall Street/Holts Road
intersection. Inputs from TTM’s traffic report will be referred to in this analysis.

2. Sidra Modelling

TTM have undertaken further analysis of Sidra modelling undertaken by TTM and Council’s independent peer
reviewer, Stuart Holland. The difference between Sidra outputs is not related to different parameters used by
Sidra 6.1 and Sidra 7.0, however is reflective of a -5% grade on the Holts Road approach applied by TTM. This
grade was applied based on site observations. Applying this grade to the Sidra model in both versions resulted
in an improved intersection performance. TTM understand that DTMR have plans of the Myall Street/Holts
Road intersection which indicates that Holts Road will not approach Myall Street at a -5% grade, however it
has been advised that TTM should apply a flat grade (0%) to this intersection approach.
