                                         Say No to the Rezone

      A Petition to Save the Community Site

      We the undersigned object to the rezoning of the Noosa Heads Bowls Club site and respectfully

      ask Council to refuse Application MCU13/0087 made by Coles Property Group, for the following

      reasons:

           1. The loss of Community Services land used for Recreation for 42 years, which cannot be

           replaced, to commercial/residential use.
           2. An over development of a site in a community which is already well serviced by the

           commercial amenities proposed by the applicant.

           3. The likely impact on other traders, especially in Noosa Junction and Noosa Civic, and the

           likelihood of more empty shops and offices in Noosa.

           4. Establishment of another hotel in Noosa, with two existing taverns already in Noosa Junction

           (Sogo’s and The Reef).
           S. The zoning of the Noosa Heads Bowls Club site in contradiction of the Planning Scheme.
