Properly Made Submission (Object) Paul & Kathryn Lloyd MCU12/0184
From: lorien [[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, 4 June 2013 9:39:20 AM To: Internet Mailbox Sunshine Coast Regional Council Subject: MCU12/0184 Notice of Submission Paul and Kathryn Lloyd Please be advised that we object to this planning application on the following grounds. 1. The use is inappropriate and does not fit with Noosa’s clean green image. As such it will have a detrimental effect on our hinterland tourism economy. 2. Noosa should not be supporting battery operations, which are diametrically opposed to our sustainable Biosphere status. 3. Top Forestry Road, Old Ceylon Road and the Cooroy-Belli Road are totally inappropriate for the nature and scale of vehicles needed to service such a use. 4. Buildings are proposed on ridgetops and skylines and will have major aesthetic impacts. There are 8 X 100-100m sheds proposed along the ridgelines in the area. A quick glance suggests that they will be visible from the surrounds. 5. There is huge potential for environmental impact, particularly having regard to noise and odour potential and nutrient runoff on the steep country. Belli Creek road is a winding and dangerous road and the increase in heavy vehicle traffic will have a negative impact on residents of this area especially pedestrians and bike riders. Has the Council taken into account the impact of the noise and odour that this high density chicken factory farm will have on surrounding properties. A chicken factory farm is not appropriate for this rural area. Regards Paul & Kathryn Lloyd 96 Wust Road Cooroy 0412742045
