SEQRP Item Response
Theme 1 – Grow The proposal provides a form of housing for people with special needs
while simultaneously providing a lifestyle not previously available to those
who need around-the-clock care. It subsequently represents a proposal
that provides for the region’s evolving needs and preferences.
Theme 2 – Prosper Not applicable, as the development is not in a major economic area and is
not for the purpose of economic development.
Theme 3 – Connect Not applicable.
Theme 4 – Sustain The proposal will provide a residential aged care community that is strong,
safe, fair, healthy, sustainable and resilient to natural hazards. This is all
achieved through appropriate design outcomes.
Theme 5 – Live The residential aged care facility provides a niche and valuable form of
aged care through its innovative methods of dementia care. The proposal
also provides a rural-residential style of aged care which is not seen

waterways through appropriate water-sensitive measures.
• Element 6: Natural economic resources – Not applicable.
• Element 7: Health and wellbeing – The design of the aged care facility is

aged persons in need of regular care.
• Element 9: Climate Change – The development is located and designed
to optimise safety and resilience for potential climate change effects.
• Element 10: Safety – The development layout promotes casual
