Re: Your Say Noosa — Proposed amendments to the Noosa Plan
and commercial building design guidelines for Pomona
Dear Mr de Chastel
In making this submission through the Your Say process in respect of the Noosa Plan Review, I remind
Council of advice provided by a consultant in November 2005, which said that [QUOTE]:
“New commercial development has the potential to degrade the current character of the
Pomona Town Centre. It is considered that existing controls in the Noosa Planning Scheme do
not offer sufficient guidance for new commercial development in Pomona.”
Council may have changed its planning scheme to take account of this finding during the intervening
13 years. In case it hasn’t I attach the relevant pages of the report that Noosa Council adopted on
24 November 2005.
