(PIA) Maps provided at Attachment 1 for the proposed Local Government Infrastructure Plan

scheme.

Finance & Risk
Council needs to have amended its current Priority Infrastructure Plan (PIP) to a Local
Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP) by 30 June 2018 in order to continue issuing
infrastructure charges and impose conditions about trunk infrastructure on development.
Since January 2014 to October 2016, $7,060,586 has been collected in infrastructure charges
equating to a current average of $207,664 per month or $2,491,971 per annum. The 2016/2017
budget has conservatively estimated the next twelve months of infrastructure charges revenue at
$1,687,329.
A long term risk of LGIPs is the commitment ultimately made to provide future infrastructure at
the desired standards of service to meet development growth.
The next State Government election is set to occur sometime in 2018 which could impede the
ability to gain final approval through the required statutory process.
