Ordinary Meeting Minutes, 16 May 2019, Item 4, Page 4
That Council note the report by the Chief Executive Officer to the Planning & Environment
Committee Meeting dated 7 May 2019 and note the positive progress in the implementation of the
Yurol / Ringtail Environmental Project.
Finance
The financial arrangements in relation to this project are set out in the body of this report as well
as previous reports to Council (links above).
Risks & Opportunities
Previous reports have identified the risks and opportunities associated with this project. There has
been no substantive change to those risks and opportunities other than for two issues.
Firstly, it is apparent that the level of natural regeneration, particularly in the harvested pine areas,
is substantially better than originally anticipated. This has been identified by both Council staff
undertaking site inspections and also senior QWPS staff who have inspected the site. Secondly,
the opportunity presented through the Greenfleet proposal will further mitigate risk associated with
land restoration of the harvested areas resulting in even better environmental outcomes.
