INFRASTRUCTURE & SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 28 APRIL 2015
Fire trail development: Development of an effective fire trail network is a key priority of the
Fire Management Plan. Council does not have specialist fire trail equipment. The purchase of
such plant (e.g. large positrack with mulching head) is not considered cost effective for
Council as the equipment is expensive and would only be used on occasion. It is proposed
that fire trail development be contracted out when needed.
