6 S ITE - SPECIFIC T REE P ROTECTION M EASURES
The protection of the trees should be undertaken during all stages of the project from the
demolition of the existing property, throughout the main construction until completion.
Tree Protection Zone fencing is to be erected prior to the demolition of the existing property
infrastructure. This fence is to be star pickets and orange plastic mesh is to be erected in
accordance with Council approval conditions.
The fencing is to be certified by the Project Arborist before works commence with a prestart
held with the contractor.
On completion of the build, the TPZ area is to be included in the soft landscaping plan.
No structure or services are to be installed within the area.
Tree/ground protection measures are to be carefully removed under the guidance of the
Project Arborist and the area is handed over to the landscaper to complete any rectification
works to the road reserve, turf, etc.
6.1 EXCLUSION ZONE
To protect the retained trees, an Exclusion Zones is to be established prior to any works being
undertaken on site. This area is not anticipated to be negatively impacted by the development
design or during the construction phase and will offer adequate protected root zones for the
retained trees. For the purpose of tree protection, the locations of the trees are to be protected
to include contiguous ground with no excavation works wherever possible. The Exclusion
Zone is to be established and the area is to be fenced off with access restricted; see Tree
Protection Guidelines for more details.
