2.4.3 EnviroPod
The EnviroPod is a proven gully pit insert designed to be easily retrofitted into new
and existing stormwater gullypits, requiring no construction or land take. It removes
a significant portion of sediment, trash, debris and other pollutants from water
entering the stormwater system, and can be installed in either curb inlet, standard
pre-cast gully pits or manhole gully pits.
It is proposed to install a total of six (6) EnviroPods within the development, with
Catchments A1 and A2 both having three each.
2.4.4 StormFilter
The StormFilter, a passive, flow-through, stormwater filtration system, improves the
quality of stormwater runoff from the urban environment before it enters receiving
waterways by removing nonpoint source pollutants, including sediment (TSS), oil and
grease, soluble metals, nutrients, organics, and trash and debris. The StormFilter has
been used to treat runoff from a wide variety of sites including, but not limited to:
retail and commercial developments, residential streets, urban roadways, freeways,
and industrial sites. StormFilters proposed within this development are outlined
within Table 10.
Table 10: StormFilter Requirements
Catchment Cartridge Size Amount Manhole Size
A1 690mm 19 3100mm
A2 690mm 19 3100mm
E 430mm 7 1800mm
F 430mm 7 1800mm
Both the EnviroPod and StormFilter have been setup as per the “SW360-MUSIC-
Modelling-Guidelines-2009” and reviewed by Stormwater360.
