The council queries and responses are detailed below. 1. Provide additional detail on the access driveway. The detail must be prepared by a suitably qualified person (RPEQ – Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) and include, but not be limited to: a. A design that gives consideration to the Landslide Hazard Overlay and the ongoing stability of the site; GHD’s design as shown on drawings 12592247-C001 to C103 has adopted findings and recommendations presented in the CGC slope stability assessment report “CGC-SR-2022-011- R02-Rev01”. This report found that there was “a low risk of instability due to landslip actions” and provided recommendations in Section 6 which have been adopted throughout the design. b. widths, levels and grades of the access driveway; Refer to drawings 12592247-C001 to C103 c. a longitudinal section extending from the centre of the formation in Black Pinch Road to the carport pad Refer to drawings 12592247-C001 to C103 d. Provide sufficient detail to demonstrate that a vehicle (B99 as described in AS/NZS2890.1:2004) will not bottom out or scape at any point throughout the driveway; Driveway crossover vertical geometry has been designed as per council standard drawing RS-056 which has suitable vertical clearances for the B99 vehicle. e. an Erosion and Sediment Control Plan to be utilised during the construction phase and in the
longer term. Refer to drawing 12502247-C041 and notes on 12502247-C011.
2. Provide additional detail demonstrating how the construction of the proposed driveway crossover will
not create worsening slope stability conditions and avoid the potential creation of hazards within the
road reserve. Please note that council are unlikely to support privately owned retaining structures
within the road reserve. Refer to the drawings and recommendations provided in the CGC slope
stability report “CGC-SR-2022-011-R02-Rev01”. No retaining walls have been provided and cut slopes
within the road reserve have been kept to a maximum of 1 in 4.
3. Provide sufficient detail (sight lines, etc) that demonstrates that the crossover location complies
generally with Council’s standard drawing RS-056. Sight distances were checked in accordance with
RS-056, with an assumed maximum speed of 70km/hr. Sight distances to the proposed vehicle
crossover exceeded 151 m in both directions. Refer to figures below for additional information
