           1.0 INTRODUCTION
           1.1 PURPOSE
This Fauna Management Plan has been prepared for Lot 496 on MCH591 located at 30 Pottery Street,
Pomona, Queensland (referred to herein as ‘the site’). The applicant has received a development permit
to subdivide the site into 8 residential allotments. Condition 35 of the Development Approval requires
that vegetation must only be removed or disturbed in accordance with a fauna management plan (or part
thereof) prepared by a qualified person and endorsed through an operational works approval. The Fauna
Management Plan must include the services of a spotter catcher. This Plan has therefore been prepared
to satisfy Condition 35 of the Development Approval and prescribes measures to manage fauna during
           and prior to vegetation clearing.

Where development requires clearing of vegetation, it has the potential to impact native fauna species.
A Fauna Management Plan is therefore required to outline management measures to reduce impacts on
fauna which may present within the clearing area. This Fauna Management Plan has been prepared based
on a field assessment of potential fauna habitat within the development area, including areas in which
conservation significant fauna species may be located.

This Fauna Management Plan contains the following information:
                      a. Legislative context, including any approvals, licenses and permits required
                      b. Management measures to reduce impacts to fauna including:

                            i. relocating fauna observed immediately prior to native vegetation clearing

                                 release

This Fauna Management Plan has been prepared with reference to each stage of proposed vegetation
clearing and provides management measures relevant to the nature and scale of the proposed
operational works. This Fauna Management Plan will require approval from Council prior to works
commencing, and all associated works must be carried out in accordance with the approval.
