several amendments to the design to accommodate tree retention and provide an acceptable
ecological outcome, with the acknowledgement that the land is zoned for Tourism.
1.3 Site Inspections and Survey Methodology
Gondwana Ecology Group has completed several inspections to assist in assessing the overall
ecological values of the subject land and the relationship with surrounding bushland (and within the
landscape context), including:
• 19 December 2018
• 17 April 2019
• 26-30 April 2019
• 14-16 May 2019
• 20 June 2019
• 26 August 2021
• 2-3 February 2022
• 26 April 2022
1.4 Structure and Attachments to this Report
For ease of reference, the key sections of the report are set out as follows:
• Section 2. Matters of Environmental Significance – Desktop {a background/desktop analysis
of relevant Commonwealth, State and local government mapping and databases}.
• Section 3. Site Ecological Values – Flora & Vegetation {description of site’s vegetation
communities and flora lists}.
• Section 4. Site Ecological Values – Fauna & Habitats {description of site’s fauna and habitats}.
• Section 5. Development Plan, Potential Impacts and Management Recommendations
{consideration of potential impacts associated with the project and recommendations to
manage/mitigate where necessary}.
