Attached to the e-mail 132008.176.05 - SRA application correspondence - Missed referral agency notice.
2210-31715 SRA
10.9.4.1.1.1 Infrastructure - state transport infrastructure
However, the original development application had the following referral agencies under the repealed
Integrated Planning Act 1997 (IPA):
the former Department of Natural Resources and Water for vegetation clearing under the
Vegetation Management Act 1999
the former Department of Environment and Resources Management for development in a koala
habitat area under the Nature Conservation (Koala) Conservation Plan 2006.
As such, in accordance with section 29.2 of the Development Assessment Rules, SARA advises that the
applicant has not referred the development application in accordance with section 54(1) of the Planning
Act 2016 and the Development Assessment Rules to the following referral agencies (missed referral
agency) for the following referral requirements:
SARA – Clearing vegetation under the Vegetation Management Act 1999 (under the repealed
IPA)
Additionally, SARA advises that, due to an error in MyDAS2 (caused unintentionally by a document
uploaded by the applicant), the referred development application was not received by SARA when the
applicant submitted the application. As such, SARA has not commenced assessment of the referred
application. SARA was alerted to the error on 18 November 2022, and immediately phoned the applicant
to advise of the error and the missed referral agency.
To respond to this missed referral agency notice, please confirm in writing to SARA, via
[email protected] that this referred application is also taken to be an application
referred for the following matter:
SARA – Clearing vegetation under the Vegetation Management Act 1999 (under the repealed
IPA)
Once SARA receives this confirmation, SARA will issue a referral confirmation notice, confirming the
application is properly referred.
For further information please contact Caroline Plank, Principal Planning Officer, on (07) 5352 9709 or via
