PM Submission Object - Ian Vant - MCU17/0572 & OPW17/0611.msg
Subject: Submission MCU17/0572 From: Ian Vant Date: 2018-03-06T02:13:39+00:00 To: Mailbox Council Mail 175 Eumundi Noosa Road Lot 1 RP131576 Ref. MCU17/0572 OPW17/0611 Proposed Service Station. FAO The Assessment Manager, I would like to register my objection to the proposed new service station on the Eumundi Noosa Road. I own the building next door, and run Giant Noosa bicycle and e-bike shop. From here I witness first hand the amount of traffic that goes past this site everyday and I just do not think this is a safe location for a high frequency usage business such as a fuel station. There will be potentially hundreds of cars a day trying to get out of the servo and jostling for position to change lanes with the other cars that are queuing on the approach to the roundabout. This I believe is an accident waiting to happen. As a pedestrian it is already a challenge to cross the road here safely. Secondly, we surely cannot require another service station in this area, there have already been two new servo’s opened in the last year within 500 metres of this site. Another fuel station is just not needed or in keeping with Noosa’s green ideals and zero emission targets. We should be encouraging more environmentally proactive businesses and not helping to sell more petrol. Thanks Ian Vant Giant Noosa Units 1-2, 1 Rene Street Noosaville Qld 4566
