3.3 Potential Bushfire Intensity classes

Table 1 details the Potential Bushfire Intensity classes and their corresponding potential fire-line
intensity (KW/m) values as prescribed within Leonard et. a/. 2017.

3.4 Bushfire Hazard Sub-Units

A sub-unit level Local Hazard Area Map; Plans BF02a and b — Sub-Units, has been prepared and
identifies the site scale Potential Bushfire Intensity classes across the site. Plan BF02a and b
identifies a Very High, High, and Medium Potential Bushfire Intensity areas are present generally to
the north and east of the proposed development.

The Potential Bushfire Intensity class data tables for each sub unit are presented in Plan BFO2c.

Note: Sub Units 1-5 comprise VHC’s which are designated as either Prone Type 2— Grassfire prone
or Prone Type 3 — Low hazard. Section 7.5.2, 7.6 & Figure 14 of Bushfire Resilient Communities
2019 identifies Prone Type 2 and 3 VHC’s as non-bushfire prone VHC’s. Therefore, Sub Units 1-5
were mapped as Low Potential Bushfire Intensity classes on Plan BFO2.

3.5 Overall Local Hazard Map

An overall Local Hazard Map; Plan BF03 — Local Hazard Map, has been prepared and identifies the
Potential Bushfire Intensity classes across the site inclusive of 100m wide Potential Impact Buffer
areas. The Local Hazard Map identifies the proposed wedding marquee is located external of the
confirmed Very High, High, and Medium Potential Bushfire Intensity areas but is located within the
associated 100m wide Potential Impact Buffer.

_ Plan BFO3 Local Hazard Map is to supersede the SPP broadscale mapping attributed to the site and
should be used to guide the formulation of appropriate site-based bushfire management measures
for the proposal.
