MCU14/0056 PM Submission Object - Jan McCart
Subject: MCU14/0056 From: Jan Mc Cart Date: 2015-03-03T01:46:53+00:00 To: Mailbox Council Mail Chief Executive Officer, I wish to bring to your attention my concerns about the proposed development in Myalll Street, Cooroy. After perusal of the advertised plans, the following issues have occurred to me: · Limited access: one egress point in a two-lane suburban street · Rubbish: usually an eyesore in these developments and will need to be lined up in said street for removal · Lighting: will need to be bright for night/security, will attract insects from boggy areas and bother locals in Ferrell’s Road · Caravan Park: beside boggy nature area where insects will abound and beside the highway where 24 hours noise will be an issue This is the entry to the Noose Shire from the highway, do we want this to be travellers’ introduction to our biosphere? There has been significant land put aside for further development which could worsen the above issues. I might not be a town planner but I am a caravanner and frequent user of this street. It seems to me that significant reorganisation of said plans needs to happen before/if this is to go ahead as a beneficial development for the town of Cooroy and the Noosa Shire. Sincerely, Jan McCart
