The information requested is set out below:
Issue
The setback to the jetty from the prolongation of the side boundary is less than the 3m described in the Waterways Works Code. It is apparent from the plans that the proposed jetty is to be located between 2 existing timber piles with the piles “trimmed” for the jetty. Council has no record of these additional piles adjacent to the revetment wall.
Information Required
Provide additional detail on the additional piles adjacent to the revetment wall (setbacks, dimensions) and the approval for the installation of the piles. It is noted that the centreline of the revetment wall stands approximately 200mm inside the property boundary.
Provide additional detail on how the piles are to be “trimmed” and justification for the proposed setback that demonstrates why the required 3m cannot be achieved.
Provide comment from the engineer that supports the modification works to the existing piles
