Submitter details Full name of Submitter: Trisha Jones Postal address: King Parrot Lane Suburb: Ridgewood State:QLD Postcode: 4563 Signature(s) Date of Submission: 27th of August, 2014 N.B. This form has been designed for the convenience of the public, and any persons wishing to lodge a submission are not obliged to use this form. 3. Details of Submission I (We), the undersigned make the following submission: As a resident who lives close to this proposed broiler farm I strongly object to the application being approved. Top Forestry Road is a narrow, quiet rural road as shown on Mr Milligan’s video footage from the dash board of his car. How convient of him to choose a time to drive up and down the road numerous times showing not one car on this road. The camera that was placed at the top of King Parrot Lane would have shown the number of cars travelling along this narrow road to be more than his dashboard footage showed. Travelling in and out of King Parrot Lane numerous times a day, I have on more than one occasion almost collided with cars at the bend whilst turning into King Parrot Lane. Imagine meeting one of the numerous heavy B-Doubles loaded with chooks, my children would not survive if an accident were to happen. My property is about 1 kilometre from this proposed broiler farm and as we live on rainwater collected in tanks I am worried about the contaminates, plus even more dust that will be carried in the air settling on my roof and being washed into my drinking water. I am also worried about the devaluation of my property as I am sure many others will be too, as who wants to live near a foul smelling broiler farm, I know I don’t. We get a lot of year round westerly winds which I am sure will blow the foul smell right into my house which will not be pleasant. This is our furture and as a mother and wife I have a responsibility to look after my family’s health and future. Regards T. Jones (if necessary, use separate sheet of paper and attach) Page 2 of 2 Notice of Submission under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 2014/15 Privacy Council will use any personal information provided for the intended purpose only and for remaining in contact with you.
