•     A suite of library programs and workshops hosted at community organisations
      throughout the shire.

The new Service aims to take advantage of new technologies, such as library kiosks, and the
flexibility of a smaller vehicle, to expand, and reshape the delivery of outreach library services,
as well as mitigating identified risks around resourcing, accessibility and legislative
requirements and responsibilities.

2.    New Outreach Service Vehicle and Timetable

The new Outreach Service Vehicle provided by Varley, is a specially manufactured light-rigid
vehicle (Iveco Single Cab) with a library specific fit-out and holds 2,500 library items. The
vehicle is air-conditioned, has two nearside entry and exit points, internal windows, LED
lighting, a small staff desk and an alfresco area with external display shelving which will be
covered by a powered awning. Solar panels provide enough energy to operate the vehicle for
2-4 hours.
