Non-vegetated areas (driveways and buildings) and low-threat vegetation (including grassland
maintained in a minimal fuel condition, maintained lawns and cultivated gardens) within the 150 m
assessment area have been classified as VHC 40.4 – Continuous low grass or tree cover and VHC 39.2
- Low to moderate tree cover in built-up areas. These areas have been excluded from the BAL
assessment as they meet the criteria for exclusion as low threat vegetation.
Figure 6 depicts the location of ground-truthed VHCs within the 150 m assessment area.
