PM Submission Object - Janneke Williamson - MCU16/0153 & REC16/0041
Subject: Regarding development MCU 16/152 REC16/0041 From: Janneke Williamson Date: 2017-04-26T06:53:29+00:00 To: Mailbox Council Mail 1. Application details File No: MCU 16/153 REC16 / 0041 Postal address of Land (as advertised) 215 DAVID LOW WAY, PEREGIAN BEACH Nature of Proposed Development MULTIPLE HOUSING –TYPE 4 CONVECTIONAL, VISITOR ACCOMODATION Dear Noosa Council and to whom it may concern, We would like to object to the current proposal as it currently stands. We love the small community vibe peregian has and we feel this development will detract from that and change the whole community. Our son attends peregian kindy and we are fearful that we will have to cease his enrolment and there for his health and then Health of the whole family. Here are some other of our points of concern. *Material Change of Use Application contravenes the Noosa Town Plan & will destroy our point of difference & the attraction that is PB Village. *Traffic Congestion & Disruption - ‘Truckloads of Fill’ will be delivered to the site every 3 or 4 minutes over at least 3months. Heron St roundabout & flow through town, will be at a standstill, particularly in the development stage. (Imagine the chaos of 150 heavy vehicle trips per day along David Low Way, into Sandpiper Lane, through IGA carpark access then out again via the Heron St roundabout?) *Significant NOISE & DISRUPTION to homes along DLWay, the Hardware Store, PB Hotel & premises in vicinity of the roundabout. Even the sanctuary of the Square will feel the impacts of heavy vehicles all day long, as will our roads. *No Extra Parking 104 private car parks are provided within the permanent residences & secure parking under the Hotel/Motel. Only 11 carparks to cater for visitor needs! That won’t cope with 10x 4 bedroom residences, 11 x3 bedroom homes & 5 Commercial precincts with 3 bedroom accommodation above, plus any overflow at the Hotel/Motel permanent & visitor units. *Not enough visitor carparks means MORE competition for parking – both traders & shoppers alike! Five Commercial premises planned for Rufouslane adds to current parking issues. Making an already difficult situation worse! *Owners of the residences on the northern side of the precinct will be looking towards Woodland Drive access to Rufous St & KIndy carparks which will exacerbate current carparking difficulties & drive customers away. We hope that you reconsider this application and reject it in it's current state.
