Application Ref: MCU18/0166
I express my objection to the above development applications as it does not meet the
policies as set out in SEQ Regional Plan 2017, the Noosa Plan 2018, the 1VIffy River
Catchment Locality, the Rural Zone Code, the Infrastructure Users Code and too the
Noosa planning Scheme Policy for Telecommunication Towers.
The biggest problem is that of a visual impact which is clearly stated in the above and it
does not adhere to any of them. The Visual Impact Report submitted by Aurecon has not
been done in a fair manner as the viewpoints they have selected do not represent the
truth of this Towers visual impact.
For one they chose to do a picture from the driveway area of Tablelands Road, however
if you go just 40 meters up the road the Tower will be visible so too if you go down the
road by 40m. So they obviously chose a spot where the tower is slightly obscured by
trees to make it all look okay on paper. There are many other fault in their report too.
I suggest you speak to the locals who know the area and can verify that this tower will
be seen from many areas. It will also have a huge impact to the walking tracks of the
Noosa Trail Network.
Trusting that you will observe your duty of care to protect the locals and visitors from
this visually damaging tower.
Yours Truly
