SMOKE DETECTORS:
To comply with AS 3786-2024 and the
+ Building Fire Safety (Domestic Smoke
‘Alarms) Legislation Amendment
Regulation 2016 - smoke alarms.
‘Approved smoke detectors with mains
supplied power and battery backup.
Smoke alarms must be installed on each
storey:
i) in each bedroom; and
ii) in hallways which connect bedrooms
and the rest of the
dwelling: or
ii) if there is no hallway, between the
bedrooms and other parts
of the storey; and
iv) if there are no bedrooms on a storey
at least one smoke alarm,
must be installed in the most likely path
of travel to exit the
dwelling
Where practicable smoke alarms must
be placed on the celling. Smoke alarms
must not be place
i) within 300mm of a corner ofa ceiling
and a wall;
ii) within 300mm of a light fitting;
iil) within 400mm of an air-conditioning
vent;
iv) within 400mm of the blades of a
ceiling fan,

PROTECTION OF OPENABLE WINDOWS
Protection of openable windows to be in compliance
with Part 3.9.2.5, Vol 2 of the NCC. Awindow opening
must be provided with protection, if the floor below the
window in a bedroom is 2m or more above the surface
beneath (Unless the lowest level of the window opening
is more than 1.7m above the finished floor level).
NOTES:
‘All plumbing fixtures and installations including
pressure limiting devices, hot water systems and dual
flush toilet suites to be WELS rated in accordance with
‘AS/NZ 6400 - 2005 & AS 3500, and incompliance with
Part 4.1 of the Queensland Development Code (Q0C),
All wet areas are to be waterproofed in accordance
with Clause 3.8.1, Vol 2 of NCC.
‘Al glazing is to be installed in accordance with Clause
3.6, Vol 2 of the NCC.
Stairways are to be installed in accordance with Clause
3.9.1, Vol 2 of the NCC.
Handrails and balustrades are to be installed to comply
with Clause 3.9.2, Vol 2 of the NCC
Masonry to comply with AS 3700.
External fixtures & fittings to be non-combustible & hot
dip galvanised or of corrision resitant material.
Confirm all dimensions and design information on site
prior to commencement of work.
