ORDINARY MEETING AGENDA 17 MAY 2018
Cessation of Use
77. The approved signs must be removed from the site upon cessation of an associated
use.
B Note the report is provided in accordance with Section 63(5) of the Planning Act 2016.
REPORT
A report on this application was considered by the General Committee on 14 May 2018 as Item 1,
and was subsequently deferred to the Ordinary Meeting on 17 May 2018. During the course of
discussions at the General Committee Meeting, Councillors requested a review of conditions to
address the building’s appearance, waste management, the extent of advertising signage and the
opportunity for a landscape strip on the adjoining Council reserve.
Condition 2
In accordance with this request Condition 2 may be amended (shown in tracked changes below)
to ensure the finishes of the building are consistent with the architectural perspective provided by
the applicant.
2 Development undertaken in accordance with this approval must generally comply with the
approved plans of development. The approved plans are listed in the following table unless
otherwise amended by these conditions.

The building must be constructed and finished with the materials and colours detailed on the
approved plans.
Condition 27
During the General Committee Meeting, it was requested that the opportunity for additional
landscaping to the adjoining Council land be explored for the purpose of providing additional
screening of the development.
The reserve is, in part, currently used for the purpose of car parking. This car park was not
constructed by Council and it is unclear as to whether the origin of this car park related to the
previous commercial operations on the subject site or the land at 100 Rene Street.
The development of the subject site is likely to result in changes to the access arrangement to this
informal car park from Eumundi Noosa Road. These changes afford an opportunity to provide
additional landscaping in the reserve adjacent to the common boundary with the proposed service
station.
This additional landscaping requirement may be incorporated into condition 27 as point (d) as
follows (shown in tracked changes):
