2. SITE DETAILS
2.1. Background
On 24 November 2005 Council issued a development permit for a material change of use of
premises for an expansion of a special purpose (waste disposal & recycling facility) & ongoing
clearing purposes. The approval was subject to conditions of approval.
The application also required a referral to Department of Main Roads (DMR) and the Department
of Natural Resources (DNRM) who subsequently provided conditions of approval.
As part of the approval DNRM approved an area for clearing vegetation, which excludes the subject
vegetation proposed to be cleared as part of the current application.
