Finance
The development of this plan will be completed ‘in house’ by Community Services within the current
2017/18 budget.

Funding has been requested in the 2018/19 Council budget for consultation, publishing, printing
and other costs. If this request is unsuccessful the publication will be reduced to online only.

Risks & Opportunities
This plan is an important component of Council’s Social Strategy and provides an opportunity for
Council to develop strategies and policies that will enhance the Noosa community’s quality of life
and wellbeing.

To date preliminary discussions about the development of the Plan have been held with:
    Queensland Health Sunshine Coast Public Health Unit;
    Sunshine Coast University; and
    Public Health Network.
